Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

LaneFlo ("we," "us," or "our") operates the laneflo.com website and platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

LaneFlo is a business-to-business platform designed for freight brokerages and logistics companies. We do not provide our services to individual consumers.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide during onboarding (such as your name and company name). Authentication is handled via a one-time verification code sent to your email.

Freight data. You upload or enter lane data including origin and destination cities, states, ZIP codes, geographic coordinates, rates, volumes, equipment types, and related notes. Carriers may also submit lane data through the public Carrier Portal.

Automatically collected information. When you access LaneFlo, we automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, access times, and referring URLs. This data is collected through Vercel analytics and server logs to maintain platform performance and security.

How We Use Your Information

  • Providing the LaneFlo platform — network matching, route optimization, visualization, and analysis
  • Authenticating your account and maintaining your session
  • Sending transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, service updates)
  • Processing subscription payments
  • Performing carrier lookups via the FMCSA API when you use carrier verification features
  • Improving the platform based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information or freight data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate LaneFlo. Each processes only the data necessary for its function:

  • Supabase — authentication (one-time code) and database hosting. Processes your email address, session tokens, and all platform data stored in our database. Privacy Policy
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Processes your payment method, billing address, and transaction history. LaneFlo does not store your full credit card number. Privacy Policy
  • Vercel — application hosting and analytics. Processes IP addresses, browser information, and page visit data. Privacy Policy
  • Resend — transactional email delivery. Processes your email address and email content for account notifications and receipts. Privacy Policy
  • FMCSA API — carrier safety and authority lookups. Processes carrier MC/DOT numbers you submit for verification. This is a U.S. government public data source.

Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information or freight data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — with the third-party services listed above, solely to operate and deliver the LaneFlo platform
  • Legal obligations — when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LaneFlo, our users, or the public
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the platform before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy
  • With your consent — we may share information when you direct us to or provide explicit consent

Cookies

We use cookies strictly for authentication. Supabase sets session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel may collect anonymous performance analytics.

Data Isolation

All customer data is isolated at the database level using Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. Your freight data, lane information, matches, and analysis results are only accessible to authenticated members of your team.

LaneFlo staff cannot view your data. We have no internal tools, dashboards, or admin panels that display customer freight data. Our application code respects RLS policies — your data is invisible to everyone outside your team.

We do not access, aggregate, mine, or share your lane data, rates, carrier information, or business data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your account and freight data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible in a read-only state until you request deletion.

Upon account closure or deletion request, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. This includes lanes, customers, matches, annotations, notes, team member records, and any uploaded files. Database backups containing your data are purged within 7 days of the backup cycle following deletion.

For expedited deletion (within 48 hours), contact us at support@laneflo.com.

Your Rights

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and all associated data
  • Export — download your freight data in CSV format at any time from the platform
  • Correction — update or correct inaccurate information in your account

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@laneflo.com.

Security

We protect your data with multiple layers of security:

  • Encryption in transit — all connections use TLS (HTTPS)
  • Encryption at rest — database storage is encrypted using AES-256
  • Row-Level Security — database policies enforce team-level data isolation, preventing cross-tenant access
  • Passwordless authentication — one-time code sign-in eliminates credential theft risk
  • No data co-mingling — your data is never mixed with or accessible to other customers

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to safeguard your information.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
  • Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we hold about you
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no need to opt out
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@laneflo.com. We will verify your identity before processing any request and respond within 45 days.

Do Not Track Signals

LaneFlo does not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. Because we do not track users across third-party websites, we do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. Our data collection practices remain the same regardless of your DNT setting.

Children's Privacy

LaneFlo is a business platform intended for use by freight industry professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@laneflo.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of LaneFlo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
